01

Overview

One common process for Office Assistants and three officer scales in Regional Rural Banks.

IBPS runs a single Common Recruitment Process each year for Regional Rural Banks. The 2026 round, CRP RRBs XV, fills Office Assistant (Multipurpose) posts in Group B and Officer Scale I, II and III posts in Group A. Registration is open from 1 to 21 September 2026 on ibps.in.

Office Assistants and Officer Scale-I candidates sit a preliminary and a main exam. Scale-II and Scale-III candidates sit a single exam. All officer posts end in an interview; Office Assistants are allotted on main exam marks alone.

Where these figures come from

Dates, age limits, fees and the exam pattern are from the CRP RRBs XV notification. The notification lists 13,706 vacancies; IBPS later revised the Office Assistant count, taking the total to 13,745. Vacancies are indicative, and allotment follows what each bank finally reports.

Negative marking

A quarter of the marks for a question is deducted for each wrong answer, in the preliminary, main and single exams alike. Unanswered questions cost nothing.

Scores from different sessions are normalised by the equi-percentile method. Most tests are offered in English, Hindi and the regional language of the state; the language test is taken in English or Hindi only.

Main exam marks decide Office Assistants; officers add an interview.
