Overview

7,500 constable posts, open to Class 10 pass candidates.

The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board is recruiting 7,500 Constables (General Duty) for the state police under the Home (Police) Department — 6,800 in general duty and 700 in the Special Armed Force. The rule book was issued on 9 September 2026.

Applications opened on 22 September and close on 6 October 2026, with corrections allowed until 11 October. The examination begins on 19 November 2026.

Eligibility

Class 10, with age counted on 6 October 2026.

Age

Counted on 6 October 2026: minimum 18 years, maximum 33 for men and 38 for women among Madhya Pradesh domiciles, as set out in the rule book. Candidates who are not MP domiciles may apply only against unreserved open posts, get no relaxation of any kind, and must be within 33 years. A Madhya Pradesh domicile certificate is mandatory for any reservation or relaxation.

Volunteer Nagar Sainiks and non-commissioned Nagar Sainik officers must have completed three years of active service by 6 October 2026.

Exam pattern

A computer-based paper, then physical tests.

The written paper is computer-based and begins on 19 November 2026, running in two shifts a day. The rule book sets out the question paper structure, the physical proficiency standards and the medical rules; physical measurement and efficiency tests follow the written exam, and candidates must meet the prescribed height and chest standards.
